Bluebird: Massive 5 bdrm- Hammock - Kids paradise

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property.When we arrived, the house was 83 degrees inside despite the thermostat being set to 68. Several hours later it was still 74 downstairs, while the upstairs remained extremely hot. After contacting the host upon arrival, we were told the upstairs is known to stay warmer during hot weather and that individual supplemental AC units had been placed in each upstairs bedroom. All were OFF. This was not something we were aware of when booking. Had we known about the upstairs cooling situation, we would not have booked this property. Family members ultimately brought additional fans.There were also cleanliness/preparation issues, weak Wi-Fi upstairs that prevented us from connecting our baby’s monitors, and the outdoor garbage can was missing from the property and eventually found down the hill down the street.Most concerning was the gas oven. When we attempted to use it, there was an extremely strong gas odor and members of our group developed headaches. We immediately shut it off and notified the host. We were told someone would be contacted to inspect it and were told again the next day they were trying to arrange someone. No one ever came in our 4 days.We reported issues as they occurred and tried to make the best of our stay, but ultimately everyone left by 9:30 Monday morning despite our checkout being 11am Tuesday, forfeiting more than a full day rather than spending another night in the house.

The house was absolutely perfect and the process was as smooth as possible! This is a dream location for your travels to Birmingham!

The house was lovely, quaint and clean. We were in town for a baby shower and it was great that we could all stay together with our own bedrooms and have all needed amenities for morning & evening chat sessions. Would definitely stay again!

The Bluebird was a perfect fit for our Girls Weekend to Birmingham to see my daughter in Samford’s StepSing! It was centrally located, cute, well stocked and had great beds! We can’t wait to come back!
